A first floor transfer slab for a 6 storey fusion frame system, with columns, cores and shear walls, and ground floor concrete construction.

This city centre project was a tight site, so logistics had to be meticulously planned. Materials, formwork and falsework had to be delivered on a just in time basis due to the restricted space on site.

The twin lift, lobby and stair core were cast ahead of the ground floor slab to assist with the site sequencing and programme. The 4.6m high core was constructed with RMD Maxima panels due to the height of wall and pressure of the concrete.

The first floor slab was cast in one continuous pour, consisting of 265 m³ of concrete and 48 tonnes of hand fixed reinforcement, with a powerfloat finished area of 560 m².
